How long after bowel cancer operation and chemo and radiotherapy will my fatigue and sleepless nights continue

Fatigue can be common after cancer treatment.
My own cancer was endometrial and I had surgery and then chemotherapy and then radiotherapy. It was around a year post treatment that my fatigue started to improve but I still have the odd day when it does happen. It didn't disappear overnight but slowly improved with time.
If it continues it is worth your son speaking to his doctor to check that there is nothing else going on. Perhaps ask for routine bloods. Mine showed that I had low haemoglobin and I was given a blood transfusion that had a big effect within a couple of days.
