I'm back again..after having a large polyp removed not knowing for sure until they got it out that it was definitely cancer but it was stage one. I got told they didn't recommend surgery beginning of July and was so relieved to have some sort of a normal summer..was just getting back from France boarding the ferry when the colorectal nurse called. I thought just to book in my next procedure as I have 50 polyps still in there that need to go. The nurse started talking about the lesions they noticed on my liver....which was news to me! Apparently there had been an MDT meeting for me *after* I got the news no surgery needed and the radiologist noticed a couple of liver lesions on my CT scan (scan done back in April so why they just noticed now I don't know). Anyway this sent my into a massive spiral especially the nurse saying don't worry because that's what they said the first colonoscopy I had when they found the large polyp (and many many others!) couldn't stop crying for a day. They've said they'll scan again but I am wondering if anyone has any experience with this kind of 'incidental finding' during their colorectal cancer journeys?
