Hi all,
I had rectal cancer tumour removed Feb 2023, I was very lucky that it was contained and didnt need to have a stoma.
The issue I have is I now suffer badly with Lower Anterior Resection Syndrome (LARS) which is very embarrassing and emotional at times suffering with incontinence. I'm now getting bladder incontinence which is emotional. I'm not even 60 and using incontinence pads and pants.
Don't get me wrong, I'm so grateful that my cancer was caught early and I'm still here living and enjoying life but this situation is effecting my mental health.
I have spoken to my colorectal nurse who has referred me to incontinence clinic, possibly for more pelvic floor exercises.
