I am 14 months post left hemicolectomy for stage 2 bowel cancer Around 2 months ago I had my ct scan and bloods which came back clear but I am suffering from what I can only describe as trapped wind in my left side. I’m just wondering if this it quite common, I am still waiting for my yearly colonoscopy
Hi Dimac and welcome to the group.
I noticed that your post hadn’t had a reply yet, so I’m giving it a bump back to the top of discussions in the hope that you’ll get some replies today.
I’ve had different surgery which removed my rectum and I had a stoma formed, so I don’t have a similar experience to share, though I do get a feeling of trapped wind sometimes just before my stoma works so I know it can be very uncomfortable.
I hope others who’ve had the hemicolectomy will now see your post and reply with some shared experience.
Sarah xx
