I had bowel cancer last year and had bowel reconstruction, they removed 28 lymph nodes and I'm wondering if this could be affecting my weight.
I think I might have lymphoedema now.as my legs are very smollen any one else suffered weigh gain, its making me upset and self conscious

I think in this case it's important to contact your GP for advice. If the swelling is causing any pain or distress please do call NHS111.

I really sympathise with you, I have bowel mets in 3 places, 2 in my pancreas a liver met and my cancer is kidney cancer.
Ive been on two types of TKI treatment.
since I started treatment 3 years ago I’ve gained almost 3 stone. I also have lymphoedema. My mum daughter and husband keep commenting on my weight, my mum being the loudest voice and makes me feel hideous.
i use food as a crutch and will eat emotional both if things are negative or positive.
i feel hopeless too and can’t bare to look at myself. I’ve recently become grandmother so I’m aware I need to look after myself even more now but can’t get the cycle broken.
