Because I have an ileostomy and a colostomy no enema was necessary. The colonoscopy was conducted via my colostomy, with the usual discomfort when the bends were negotiated. No pain afterwards.
If I had pain afterwards I would contact the colorectal team straight away and seek their advice in case of a hidden problem. They have access to the images taken during the procedure which might ease your mind.
