Hi, i was diagnosed with Colon Cancer in September last year, I had surgery and got the all clear.
Ive been waiting for the results of a recent CT scan and my surgeon called me yesterday with the results, liver and lungs and other organs were clear, however I was told I have cysts on each ovary.
Of course my mind goes into overdrive and automatically thinks Cancer.
Is this something to be worried about?
Did the cancer metastasize, did they miss it in the last CT?
Has anyone else gone through the same? X
Hi - I had a tumour removed from my sigmoid colon in 2023, followed by Capox chemo, and have annual blood tests, colonoscopies and CT scans You’ll obviously need to seek the advice of your medical team on this but it was my understanding that bowel cancer metastasis will usually be in the liver and lungs. Speak to your oncologist.
Hi BexyM ,
You will need to speak to your team obviously, but I just wanted to say that a friend has cysts on her ovaries and had cancer. The two are not related at all and her cysts are just monitored.
Cysts on ovaries can happen. However you do need to be guided by the medical experts on this.
Best wishes
CerysM
