Hello to everyone, it was at this time last year I began having a number of tests to discover I had colon cancer.
Early January 2025 I had a right hemicolectomy.
It was successful & there was no lymph nodes involved. I will have six monthly checkups for the next five years.
I still worry it will return & can remember the overwhelming fear I had at the time. But here I am & I just want to say I hope whatever treatment you receive is successful.
Best wishes to all
Hi Mabelle It’s good to hear that you’re doing well and approaching your 12 month cancer free anniversary. It’s natural to feel worried that it might return but that will diminish over time as you have more clear tests and scans. I also found the paper below really helpful
Whatever cancer throws your way, we’re right there with you.
