Need Advice

Hi Harry300a5bc36 It’s hard to say what’s causing the constipation and it’s a shame that they haven’t maybe checked out what’s going on with a CT scan. The colonoscopy prep will hopefully clear you out so they are able to get a good view of your colon and then be able to confirm what is causing the problem. I know it’s a worry and hopefully the 12th will come round quickly. Keep drinking lots of fluids and keep your fibre intake up.

Ive never been on the constipated side but hopefully my reply will bump your post up the board and others may comment

As other friends on this thread have said, I need to calm down and wait for results and the doctors' advice. I just need to have patience.... and stop panicking...

Ongoing constipation is no fun, and for me made me feel generally unwell - but thankfully I have found my GP helpful when I had issues with constipation while waiting for next step. I did in the past find they would 'fob' me off (our GP practice you gotta be very ill before they seem to do anything) - but I learnt to be very clear on how bad it actually was & then I got action from GP.  Wishing you all the best for 12th.

Yes, it is maddening not knowing exactly what is happening...

Trying to keep calm... But being constipated for so long, is very very worrying... The possible causes all point to the worse possible cause...
