Just like to share a good news story.I had a high anterior resection for a sigmoid colon cancer in Sept 2021.A few weeks after surgery my CEA level jumped to 45 and after scans they discovered a solitary liver Met had developed.I was put on 6 months Folfox and during the treatment the Met shrunk and then disappeared. The oncologist decided to rescan me regularly and today I found out that my latest CT scan was again clear and CEA at 2 .Thats 3.5 years clear so very positive news and gives hope to other patients with liver mets.
