Hi everyone. I’m just wondering, has anyone experienced getting stomach ulcers due to chemo? And what is the procedure when this happens?
a bit of background, my mum was having severe pains in her stomach, we all just thought it was normal side effects from chemo. Her oncologist sent her to get a camera down her throat into her stomach and found ulcers in the stomach. I assume this is from the harsh chemo? She’s worried she’ll be taken off chemo. Thanks

I had chemo for a different type of cancer but fortunately didn't get ulcers. It's natural that your mum's worried that she'll be taken off the chemo so perhaps she could have a chat with her CNS and see what they say.
While you're waiting for replies, it would be great if you could put something about your mum's diagnosis and treatment into your profile as it really helps others when replying to you and also when looking for someone on a similar pathway. It also means that you don't have to keep repeating yourself. To do this click on your username and then select 'Profile'.
