I was wondering if anyone has had a similar kind of tight band pain, sometimes stabbing, or a dull ache, in the upper right quadrant area, I have a colonoscopy soon and I should've had one last year but chickened out, now my fit test result is really high, coupled with the aforementioned pains and extreme fatigue and weight loss, well I was just wondering if anyone else in this situation knows those pains in talking of, they are particularly worse when sitting, sometimes goes up to my shoulder too if I turn funny, gosh sorry if I'm making no sense, it's just these pains are getting unreal, especially the last couple of months, hence forth why I went for tests again, just hopefully won't chicken out this time, thanks in advance for any advice, all the best, Mathew

  • Hi  and a warm welcome to the board. I personally don’t remember any pain in that area but I seem to think I’ve heard others mention pain around the rib area in previous posts?

Please, please, please have the colonoscopy. If it is bowel cancer then it can be treated but the sooner it’s diagnosed then the better. It may be another condition causing the high fit test but you need to find out for definite.

Can you tell us what caused you to chicken out of the last one and we can maybe reassure you?

    Take care
