Has anybody gone down the surveillance route when being told you have a polyp and stalk that is cancerous
Hi Corsa,
I am also very new with this terrifying new situation.
My consultant told me that I have a stage3 transverse bowel cancer and also a polyp in need of investigation.... not too sure about what they meant with that. I am sorry I might not be able to help you with my answer.
Hi Corsa03f9c9 Have they removed the polyp and stalk and sent it off for testing?
Hi. Yes the polyp has been removed and has come back as cancer and the stalk and they recommend surgery to remove part of the bowe butI also have diverticulitis which makes the surgery more difficult and probably will end up with a bag. I really don't want this but I asked for alternatives and he said I could have another colonscopy in 6 weeks and ct scan in 3 months but is early detection cancer t1 so big decision to make
Hi Kirbysorry to hear that. No my polyp has already been removed and come back as cancerand they recommend surgery or surveillance route so I am wanting to see if anybody has ever done that and what the outcome was thanks
