How long will my son loose mucus from his bottom he has a stoma which doesn't cause any problems but he is really upset about the mucus when he stands up
Hi Rosie13
Did you see the replies you got from a couple of us when you posted about this before?
Sarah xx
Oh Rosie13 i didn’t mean to upset you at all, and I’m so sorry if I have-of course you must post whenever you need or want to with no need to apologise at all. This is a very difficult situation for your son and distressing for you and it’s no wonder you have bad days.
I think it’s just difficult for anyone to give a definite answer, as it’s not the same for everyone but I can understand the longer it goes on, the more upsetting it must be.
Has he managed to get some suitable underwear rather than pads which might be better? Is he moving around a bit more now? Has he had any extra advice from the stoma nurse?
Hang in there Rosie and keep posting whenever you need to.
Sarah xx
Thanks for that yes he some good underwear he calls them his nappies he sits on the toilet now to get rid of most of it.the stoma nurse doesn't get in touch with him he could contact her though. Thanks again for replying and I do feel a bit better today xx
