I'm just wondering I've heard eight counts of chemo and now they've stopped it because I had to have another PET scan because they thought something was on my lungs but before it turned out to be.

I'm very anxious at the moment and wondering why I'm getting this pain in my belly waiting on the results of pet scan can anyone tell me why I'm getting pains in my belly like not pains especially when I eat they start again thank you still waiting for surgery been a long journey so far as you know I haven't been on for a long time just trying to get on with it as you know back last October was meant to have surgery but fell down broke my hip and the top of my FEMA been through loads of chemo again and now I don't know what this pain is maybe I ate something that didn't agree with me any answers would be good thank you

  • Hi  Do you think it may be anxiety and when you’re eating it’s giving you tummy ache? I know if I’m worried about something I can get indigestion after eating so you could maybe try Rennies or something then give your colorectal support nurse a ring on Monday if you’re still worried?

    Take care

  • I don't know it's all came on day after pet scan just cramps not sure what causing it I oncology on 12 telephone call maybe I should just wait I don't know could be anything but worrying

  • Worry and anxiety can make my tummy hurt too. I'm not saying that's what this is but just relating.

Have you tried mindfulness exercises or deep breathing exercises? Those might help with anxiety and couldn't hurt you. It gives you something to do while waiting for answers.
