Afternoon everyone,
about this time last year I was diagnosed with stage 3 colon cancer and had a right hemicolectomy followed by some chemo. Things have thankfully been good since then. I’m due my first colonoscopy on Monday since the operation last March. All the stuff I want to eat is off the menu; fruit, bread with bits in etc. Now, I should remember how I handled it the last time and for the operation but I wasn’t in a good place back then and I can’t remember. Yes, I’ve been given the sheet with what you can and can’t eat. Fish is on it and so are potatoes but I’m not sure if I can get away with fish in batter and soggy chips (my chippy seems to only serve soggy ones).
I know this post may seem a bit frivolous compared to everything else that people are experiencing on the forum but it’s only Friday evening and I’ve got until Monday to wait. I’m struggling to come up with things to eat. I don’t want to mess up the colonoscopy, which I’m dreading (more the results), but it’s now half three and I last ate this morning (bowl of rice crispies).
So is fish and chips a goer or can anyone suggest something to fill a hole with three days to go?
Many thanks, Paul
Hi Wingsuit According to the diet sheet below you can have fish in batter
You could maybe have this as your final treat before you really knuckle down to geating a nice clear colon?
Enjoy and hope the colonoscopy goes well
Take care
