Hi, my husband has a lower anterior resection for rectal cancer in Feb last year and they removed 1 seminal vesicle. He was also rushed back in after discharge with over 2 litres of urine retention.
he is still suffering with painful urination and pain around the bladder and I was wondering if this is normal? I understand the surgery alone can affect nerves anyway but with the removal of the vesicle I’m wondering if this is just another issue. My understanding is once the bladder has been stretched, it doesn’t go back to ‘normal’ either?
Hi @Cw1987 I’m sorry that I can’t give you any advice but you could maybe try posting in the Ask the Nurse section?
