I’m waiting for my cea blood test result after successful surgery for bowel cancer. Just feeling so anxious as it’s been over a week and still no news, was wondering how long until people received the results.
They can take a wee while depending on what lab is used but we sometimes went through the GP as they normally get them put up on their shared clinical portal.
As I understand it the first post-op CEA test is simply intended to get a baseline reading against which any future changes can be used to monitor whether cancer might have returned. So normally no reason to worry.
