Has anybody looked into having a private liquid biopsy/signatera test to monitor any recurrence of cancer after treatment?

I am aware that this is available in the US and that there is a clinical trial in the UK for bowel cancer at the Royal Marsden.

I would like to know what the process is and how much it costs (I don't have private health insurance).

Hi Kat m welcome to the forum..this is not something that I have heard of but I wonder if it is worth giving the folks at The Macmillan Line a call. They may be able to direct you to further research papers or have information re the trial details. 08088080000.

Last year I made enquiry in Royal Mashden but unfortunately they said they are not doing for private patients, only through the clinical trial and they told I can make enquiries about trial from my oncology team

The clinic in Germany told me this is a very expensive test

Clinical trial tests for those with t3 if there is any circulating dna left post op to remove the tumour. If there is you’re in the trial if not you’re out the trial. If in some will be given the vaccine and others will be monitored.
