Hi Rosie13 I had to go to the chemo unit at the hospital in between each iv session and they did it there - think they like to do it every 7-10 days. With your son having a pump then it may be a district nurse who will disconnect the pump (assuming the chemo after his initial one in hospital will be done at home?) and then they may visit in between to flush it? It’s only a 10 minute job but makes sure that the line is clear x

Thanks for that I was hoping they didn't want me to do it. He lives on his own.

I think it depends on the area you live in. I was referred to the district nurses who took care of flushing and changing the dressing on my PICC line.
