Hi all,
I hope your well.
I’ve had some bowel issues for a couple of months now including bleeding so I’ve had a fit test which was >200.
i know the threshold is 10 just wondering if anyone else had >200 and how they got on?
nervously waiting my colonoscopy.
thanks have a good day.
Hi GeeCoo I don’t know what my FIT reading was but the main thing is that the cause of blood in your stools is being investigated.
Only 1 in 10 colonoscopies results in a bowel cancer diagnosis and there are several things that can cause similar symptoms like ibs, diverticulitis, colitis etc.
Its stressful waiting but hopefully you should get an appointment through within the 2 weeks guidelines. Please let us know how you get on?
Take care
Karen x
