I have had operation to remove Tumour in November 23 and now having chemotherapy. I am finding this chemo okay compared to the chemo I had when I had breast cancer 15 years ago. That was awful but I survived! One of the side effect s of this chemo is my fingertips are hacking and bleeding especially my thumbs which is annoying and awkward if I put pressure on them I.e using remote control, phone and typing - who knew thumbs were so important!
Hi Meliz and a very warm welcome to the online community which I hope you'll find is both an informative and supportive place to be.
While I don't have any experience with side effects of chemo for bowel cancer, as mine was for breast cancer, I noticed that your post hadn't had any replies yet. Responding to you will 'bump' it back to the top of the discussion list.
Have you reported the problems with your fingertips to the chemo hotline at your hospital, as they may be able to help?
I hope you can get it sorted soon as it must be very distressing.
