I have my annual scan on Monday and I'm worried as I've been having stomach and back pain for weeks. Not been to dr's as I broke my wrist in November and have just started to get movement in it.. couldn't face anything else. My colonoscopy in June was clear but I'm worried that it's spread to liver. Also, I have to have contrast dye for my scan but worried they won't do it because I still have removable splint on my wrist? I tried to ring hospital but no reply to message. I'm really stressed and no one to talk to. Family don't really bother about me.
Hi
You shouldn't worry about your removeble splint. It won't interfere with the procedure. Most CT Scans following
bowel cancer involve the contrast dye - which is delivered by a cannula into either arm.
Best wishes
Marianne
