Thank You Court!
You have been a great support to everyone on here as usual this year and since I joined this forum 2 years ago. Great that your mum is doing well again long may it continue. I didn't get my `happy ending` to mine and my husband Jay's journey and cancer took him back in June but he put up one hell of a fight over those 2 years but the beast that it is decided it was coming back for him not long after he was told he was in remission. I do not know now what I would have done if it was not for the MacMillan forum I have spoken with so many here and on the bereaved partners and spouses forum being able to relate with others going through the same as I am just now but liking to come here to the bowel cancer forum and offer support if I can. I have bonded with a few ladies here- they know who they are- a couple who are in the same position as myself and a couple others in similar. I hope to continue to come here when I feel I need to as I'm still adjusting to life on my own. I wish you all here a very Happy and Prosperous New Year and everything you want and wish for happens in 2024 which includes successful treatment for those of you still fighting on with cancer. Take Care All

Happy new year, eddiel . The first time they couldn't find a vein! And the recent one in Dec I opted to try again without, although this time they did cannulate but didn't use. Having had rectal cancer and the top of the rectum, the sigmoid and some of the bowel all removed, the first couple of bends have also been removed!! So I guess it makes it easier? Just feels a little crampy at times, otherwise fine.
Whatever cancer throws your way, we’re right there with you.
