Hello there, my husband was diagnosed on may this year T4 N0M1 at the moment, not curable but treatable which is not the worst but also not what you hope to hear. He's been through 11 rounds of chemo every other week with his final one coming up the beginning of jan followed by a surveillance scan a few days later. Does anyone else struggle when their loved ones are on a break? The rational part of me knows he needs a break to recover but I just hate the thought of the cancer having more time to spread whilst we don't know what is happening.
I am a big fan of treatment breaks as they really have given my mum time to draw strength over the years and also to let her immune system pick up .
But I know what you are saying regarding potential tumour growth and she has had small volumes of growth but got more shrinkage back on it . Chat to their team as you might get a feel for how they would manage it if that did occur and what the next option would be . With that in mind then it’s time to get so well needed rest .
Are there any radiotherapy or surgical options should he gain shrinkage ?
Take care ,
Court
