Hi all, it's been a while since I last posted on here. My wife was diagnosed with bowel cancer back in June last year and then scans showed it had spread to her liver. She was a drinker and so her liver showed no only cancer but sclerosis as well.
We met when we was 18 and had been together for nearly 40 years. In July this year I gave up work to be with her 24/7 as couldn't leave her suffering.
She passed away in early November and I still can't believe she has gone.
I'm writing this because I desperately need to talk to others who have gone through the same painful journey. Also help if I can to anyone who may need it.
Cancer not only affects the person but everyone who loves that person.
Thanks for reading and I wish everyone a great Christmas and healthy 2024.
Hi Coys

It is very early days for you . We have a Group here that you might find some support from as you navigate through this new chapter in your life .
Bereaved family and friends forum
Just in case you might find it helpful .
Always here to chat if you need it . I am only starting to understand loss through the death of my dad last year and far from experienced in it for sure . But I do understand there are days you just wish for another five minutes to sit and have a cup of tea and chat with them .
Take special care ,
