Aspirin and colon cancer

Just came across this recent publication from Medscape so I thought I'd share as I know a few people on this forum are taking low-dose aspirin and it might be of interest to others: Aspirin as Therapy Cuts Mortality In Cancer (medscape.co.uk).

"The authors conclude that aspirin’s use as cancer therapy is “justified,” and, based on National Health Service ethics guidelines and a UK Supreme Court decision, patients “should be informed” of aspirin’s risks and benefits without having to ask first."

I hope everyone is doing OK

  • Hi

Thanks for taking the time to provide a link to this study.

I'm responding to your post so that it will 'bump' it back to the top of the discussion page in case anyone hasn't had a chance to see it yet.

  • This is really interesting as my onco said there’s not enough research to suggest aspirin does anything so said to me it’s not worth it. I’ve had both bowel & breast cancer so will send her this & see what she says!
    thanks for posting!
