Does anyone know if drinking alcohol in moderation or otherwise is ok, just because Christmas is coming (in case you didn't know)
Before my post-op chemo started I asked the nurse about drinking alcohol while having treatment. She said fine, but stick to wine or spirits as beer would be too cold to tolerate. I was on FOLFOX.
After about three cycles I worked out that the cold sensitivity in my mouth had reduced sufficiently after 4/5 days for me to enjoy a Guinness or two. The limiting factor in my case was the output produced by my ileostomy!!
Everyone will be different but if I were you I’d not hold back from a festive tipple!
Cheers!!!
