That light at the end of the tunnel seems further away.

My partner was diagnosed out of the blue early September with a tumor in the rectal area, because of her blockage a storma was put in place and 3 weeks later she was allowed to come home, in the 4 weeks she's been home all I've seen is her deteriorate in front of me.

Three biopsies have come back inconclusive and because of the understanding now that it's a very agressive tumor, within the 4 weeks being home it's grown enough to perforate the bowel and caused her to have increased infection markers, this caused her to be back in hospital on antibiotic drips for 2 weeks. Now she's home again still on antibiotics and of course pain medication but no energy and can't do much.

She's now had a 4th biopsy but because of what's now been found out about the tumor I'm getting more worried, we have been told as is, nothing can be done to cure it so we need to prepare for the worst but hope for the best.

She has a PET CT scan this week so I'm hoping she doesn't end up lighting up in other places.

On another issue, my mother was diagnosed last year with terminal bowel cancer and has been on chemo since June last year, unfortunately hers is now starting to grow again so a review has to be put in place.

That light at the end of the tunnel I so wanted to see, looks like we could not reach it.
