Also my undereyes are REALLY dehydrated and creased and ive never had that reither (lucky for 41!) my usual eye cream burns!!!!
on top of this i have a sore throat blisters on my tongue and coldsores
oh and a blood clot around my picc. Yay
Hi Gemface
Are you Cetuximab by any chance ?
It sounds very much like my mum had at the start of her treatment. She has been on it for eight months now and it actually has lessened considerably. I know the exact dehydrated look you are referring to .
I will need to go to my mum’s tomorrow to get the exact names of the meds but there are things you can do .
My mum is on a permanent antibiotic along with her treatment to deal with the acne type rash . It’s all but gone now . She also had a steroid cream she keeps in the fridge for flare ups but that really dehydrated her skin .
She has a special wash to use and creams her face twice a day . She can also use aveeno and tolerated one we used ourselves called Altruist .
Her mouth ulcers came around the second /third cycle . She got a mouth was from the Oncologist which did not do terribly mum but her Gp said it was an entry level one but had a rolls Royce one and it clear up right away .
If you can’t get on top of the rash a dermatologist can get involved to manage it .
The reptile look ( it really did look like that for a few weeks ) departed and never returned .
Also a few weeks off treatment and it also cleared up but even staying on treatment it settles .
Her nail beds get affected and now her face flushed snd is dry but careful management keeps it at bay .
If you don’t have the antibiotics definitely speak to your team . Not everyone gets them right away . Some hospitals have different approaches.
Take care ,
Court
