So a year ago this afternoon I went for my colonoscopy, expecting to be told I had piles and to go home incredibly embarrassed! But as things turned out it was bowel cancer. Life was turned on its ad and not sure I will ever feel like myself again

I had exactly the same experience convinced that the colonoscopy would show polyps which I had had previously. The fear of discovering I had a rectal tumor which proved to be inoperable was the worst feeling and yet unimaginable too!! Six months later and about to begin my 2nd series of chemo treatments and I try to make the most of my time and remain positive. No I will not be the same again either RL but chin up and carry on! Best of luck!
