Welcome August and I sincerely hope you are much drier than July !

Made some Rhubarb and ginger jam as it seems to like wet conditions !Grinning

Thanks as ever to my trusted friend  for reminding me we are in August .

I do hope you are managing to cope with such damp conditions .

Mum doing well on treatment. Just hope it’s still doing it’s job .

  • Popped out to see the cycling championships at the weekend! Such endurance as they weaved their way around the hilly streets of Glasgow , not only that but they had just cycled through from Edinburgh. The wind brushed against you as they flew by !

I sat at a part where it was beautiful and dry , on the other hand half a mile down the road and they would loop into a circle where it was pouring down .

    Take care ,

  • Lovely photos and messages. Good to see folk enjoying the moment in whatever way they can.

Today has been day 0 of SBRT treatment for my liver. It was a dry run, with the x-ray gun due to be fired up on Friday for the first of 5 sessions.

We get out when the weather and appointments allow. A special place for us is a local stretch of chalk upland and this year the wild flowers have been especially profuse. This is a composite of Clustered Bellflower giving a sense of the variety of colours it comes in. Lots of blue butterflies including the Brown Argus - it’s actually brown, but a member of the “blue” family!

    Every blessing

  • What lovely shades of blue, Wellspring.

This is our buddleia being enjoyed by a butterfly.

  • All the best for your treatment starting

Looking forward to hear how you get on with it .
    Beautiful photos as ever !

I was watching a butterfly on my mother in laws last weekend . Butterfly’s are really special to me . When my mum was first diagnosed I came home and noticed one on the wood on my house and a further five on a nearby plant . For some reason it gave me hope .

Some days you just have to relax and take it easy !
