  • Hello HazG

I am sorry that you are waiting for your CT scan results. It is a worrying time and I can understand that June 22nd is a long way a way. Just a thought but would the results be sent to your GP and would they be able to contact you if they come through before then? I know sometimes they prefer to wait for the oncologist appointment but it wouldn't hurt to ask.

Re the dentist- it seems so hard to get an NHS dentist at the moment, mine has also gone private and now offering a scheme where you pay monthly- not sure about it though as it still costs to go.

Have you contacted your dentist and explained the situation re being a cancer patient and having had chemotherapy and whether they could at least check you out. They may say no but it's worth a try.

Can your CNS help regarding the dentist- I just wonder if there is some sort of hospital referral system as you have been on the chemo and possibly at risk of infection etc. Toothache must be caused by something. Just thought I'd mention as have heard of people being able to access hospital dentistry clinics.

If not maybe try a search on here to see if there is any local dentists who could help

    Find a dentist - NHS (www.nhs.uk)

    Hope this helps a bit

    Jane
