The cancer treatment journey continues....
Had an ileostomy on 22 November last year. Reversed two weeks ago.
Used Coloplast as the initial supplier but sought advice from a fellow Ward patient. Switched to Welland.
Marvellous system using a velcro belt supporting the bag on obverse flanges. Excellent seals that are over sized and you can cut to a precise fit. No more skin problems as never had a leak. Fantastic. Felt secure and one can move and sleep with confidence.
Had stoma closed. What a nightmare! Had to be done but goodness ....feels like I'm the pround mother of twins every day since. Hopefully will improve.
So...this post is to proselytise for stoma belts and grumble about tge pain of malfunctioning bowels. Ouch!! Cannot take the morphine as that addresses on issue and creates a larger one. HEH HO.
