Thank you Gemmary . This wonderful lady helps me stay on track ! My mum’s garden is full of forget me note . I normally curtail them a bit but this year I have let them do the own thing . Makes me smile .
Hope you are all getting a bit of goodness out of the May bank holiday .
Keep pushing forward and holding onto the good things .
And let’s see how you are spending the day !
Take care ,
Court
I love forget me nots , found a few straggly ones by the drive, and cowslips, but cornflowers are probably my favourite flower. Had these in my wedding bouquet. But I also love lots of wild ones, and it is fun seeing the spring progress. Got a few bluebells in a sheltered spot, south facing, the woodland ones won't be far behind. Never remember to take a camera!!
Have a Tangle instead! In a local wood.
Forgetmenots are such a blessing. Their blue haze softens the garden. When their time is up, we shake them wherever we’d like to see them bloom the next year.
We’re still enjoying narcissi, the later flowering varieties. Like the jonquils with their delicious scent or the pheasants eye’s simple beauty. We plucked these yesterday to appreciate indoors.
Tryingtoforget is somewhat harder. The prospect of liver rescission #4 on 10 May is pretty daunting. But the distractions of spring - new flowers every day and birds singing continually are very welcome.
Close up photos are so good at helping us appreciate the detailed beauty all around us. At a distance, forgetmenots are like foothills that enhance the grandeur of the mountains beyond.
My close up appreciation of nature's beauty:
