Hi all, thank you for accepting me. My husband has been diagnosed with stage 4 bowel cancer. At present I am not accepting it, it makes me feel sick, panicky, shaky etc. it was a complete shock.  Anybody else in the same situation.  Many thanks

  • Vicky my goodness just soo frustrating you would think something as scary as blood clots would be a real concern but what can we do our gut  tells us this is wrong but then the experts say it's fine. Really hope your night is ok thinking of you xx

  • You would think gp would call in and get to the bottom of this instead of nurse saying drink plenty water etc. it’s enough to deal with anyway without extra problems.

yes Maggie shed down and disposed of thanks. Had doctor on phone about my blood results- told him I haven’t even had them done yet!!! Also got a telephone call with doctor on 29th - don’t think so as it’s a bank holiday so don’t know what’s going on down at the gp surgery.

going to have an early night as didn’t sleep very well lastnight and feel shattered.

    keep your spirits up girls

    love Helen x

  • Glad the shed is down. Honestly I think there’s re not enough GPS now and most of the women are part time. It is real shame that there are not enough GPS,  I have gone private in the past for consultations during covid and recently for an iridotomy so I coukd look after Les.  It is just so sad.  I check the results on the internet as I have passwords to get into my records..

well off to lay down so take care everyone. Loads of hugs and look after yourselves. Maggie xx

  • Hi All!  Thanks for your thoughts. He's settled for the night I think but I'm still being paranoid about this- pardon the pun` bloody catheter. I've not checked it yet because he gets so grumpy if I try to. Just have to hope it will settle and the blood clots will stop. I said to the nurse the colour of his urine tube did not look right but they're supposedly the experts and know what they are looking at and she said it actually looks worse than what it is. You can't win! Just have to see what tomorrow brings. Goodnight All, Sleep well if you can.

    xx

  • Jkee they are like babies. I found the like old slippers and socks to chew on but that might not be a good idea. Glad Simon got up as well. I honestly don’t know how you cope having a puppy. I know you will be able to do this as you are strong.  Make sure you get your ribs checked please.

patttyk. I hope you had a peaceful night and no more clots appeared.

torry the sun is shining go in the garden and try and enjoy it whether you are sad or not. Try and relax.

love and hugs everyone. Maggie xx

  • Puppies are really hard work and usually chew everything. It’s just more work for you Jkee as it’s you who will have to look after it.

been for blood pressure check and bloods done so will see what doctor says next week. Pharmacy gave me 21 tablets instead of the 28 prescribed so that’s another trip to sort out.

hope everyone is coping today, sun is shining and I’m waiting for nurses to come and see me

    love Helen x

  • Hi Helen. The sun is shining and Les is asleep on the sofa. Doctor ringing me today and tomorrow I have to go and see a specialist about blood in poop. Looks like we are all going through the mill one way out another. I hope your bloods are okay and you get your tablets sorted out. I agree puppies are hard work and can chew everything in sight. Poor Jkee that is all she needed on top of everything else.

huge hugs to everyone maggie xx
