HI All

Just wanted to come back and share my outcome for anyone else going through that hard wait from referral to colonoscopy.

So after all my symptoms,  severe episodes of rectal bleeding, cramps, alternating constipation and diarrhea and family history at a young age, they found nothing.

Unfortunately even with double the dose of fentanyl and midazolam and buscopan the pain getting round was unbareable. Almost gave up 3 times and took half an hour to get round to the ceacum. Now to put everyone else at ease I must stress that this is not the norm. The specialist said I have visceral Hypersensitivity which he thinks is due to ibs and has referred me back to my gp for coeliac and other allergy and intolerance testing.

The meds did nothing for me at the Time however my anxiety and panic disorder were in full swing with my BP reading 185/100.

The lovely specialist came in and spoke with me before the procedure and with my symptoms even he expected to at least find colitis but nothing so please don't be like me and be an anxious mess diagnosing yourself with the worst outcome when in the end It could be nothing.

I had Picolax as prep and I would advise anyone to ask for this one as it was no bother. Tastes fine, no cramps, quite gentle and they commented how well it did today and how clear everything was. Just keep the vasaline and baby wipes handy

I want to wholeheartedly thank everyone on this forum who has helped me with questions and advice and general loveliness and I'm wishing everyone fighting right now all the luck, health and happiness you all so deserve.
