Hi. I'm 7 days after laparoscopic surgery to remove right side of large bowel. The most difficult experience since surgery is the pain at the lefthand side incision point. The internal bruising here seems far worse. Has anyone else found this? It's really restricting my movement and despite regular pain relief tablets, isn't easing off. No pain where bowel removed on the right! Feeling exhausted after 7 days of pain and discomfort and no comfortable position found to get relief. I thought after all the trapped wind had passed from ribs, shoulders and neck that I'd feel better by now! Thanks for any advice....
Hi GillianB
Glad to hear you are safely through surgery . Has anyone checked your wound recently to ensure there is no infections etc that need to be eliminated ?
I would definitely contact your surgeon . This is the sort of thing they need to know so they can guide you on either pain relief or examination.
Take care ,
