HI All
Over the last week i have had Pain in Lower Abdomen/Bowel when peeing and pooping. 4 months post surgery. I have called Triage twice, who told me to take paracetamol. I have also seen my GP who had a poke and prod and said it could be muscle pain and post surgery pain as it hurts a bit when i move. Paracetamol seems to help the pain. Is this normal ? Has anyone else experienced this ? I thought i may of had a water infection or something but have no other symptoms. The GP didn't deem it necessary to check my urine.
I have also had pain in the lower abdomen following bowel resection to remove the cancer. I also get more pain when I pee, but due to not having sufficient bowel to reconnect I now have a stoma.but still also get feeling of wanting to have a poo, and some discomfort in lower abdomen. I think it is down to upset to intestine and bowel from general surgery, even though it has been 3 months since my surgery.
I don't feel human since then, and am having problems coming to understand what has happened, with added problems of not having someone to talk to and who will listen. I don't want to worry doctors about pains as it takes a long time for inside to settle down after surgery.
