I had APR surgery on 12/12/22. I’m still very numb in my perineum area. Is this normal? I get a slight wateriy discharge from it as well, slight blood from it. I’m sorry to be so detailed. It still hurts when I reach down to pick things up, almost tightness. I just don’t know it’s this is all normal or not. I’m due to start ‘mop up’ chemo 28/2/23 which keeps being delayed due to a wound on my bottom not healing. I just don’t know if all is normal and to just shut up and get on with it.
Thank you for any advice
How are you getting along? My husband had robotic APR 2 1/2 weeks ago. He feels tight and still has pain.
I’m still uncomfortable, not painful. I have two wounds that still haven’t healed. I’ve been told it’s due to the chemo and radiotherapy. I do feel fed up. I just want to know it’s normal. I hope your husband is recovering well. It’s still very early days for him x
