This may sound silly I’ve had a clear CT scan however I was wondering why I would still need a colonoscopy. It’s booked for next week. I hate the prep . I haven’t had a colonoscopy since my diagnosis in December 21.
Hi MJ84.
I'd suggest it most likely to be just best practice surveillance but if unsure, perhaps contacting your colorectal nursing team and checking with them could help put your mind at rest?
Hi, MJ84 my first colonoscopy a year after diagnosis was to mainly check they hadn't missed any polyps in the diagnosis one, either camouflaged or getting distracted and all that! So just go with the flow (ha!) and think that if its clear you are well on the way to be Ned, particularly with a clear scan. Take care
