After having a TEM surgery in November and a sigmoidoscopy last week it showed that the colon has narrowed due to the surgery. I have been having problems going to the loo, it has now confirmed the problem. Consultant advised using laxatives on a permanent basis.
Having thought about that I am looking for a natural alternative as don’t really want to be on laxatives permanently. Has anyone had a similar problem and using a more natural way.
advice would be welcomed
Hi Smileymo. I’ve been watching that programme called Know Your Sh!t and they were talking to a guy with constipation problems and recommended 2 kiwi fruits a day which has been found to cause ‘spontaneous complete evacuation’. I’ve also read that warm prune juice can help?
There’s also a bit in this booklet about foods to try/avoid
