Vain is good
We all should
Love ourselves
At peace in our skin
Narcissism is no sin
If we don't love ourselves
How can others do so
I know
Don't fear their looks
How they may see us
Ask yourself why
Let's not be shy
A stoma is ok
Don't hide away
Be strong
Be proud
Even shout loud
"My bag of pooh, shouldn't offend you"
"It's part of me
But it doesn't define"
Embrace your appendage
Learn to love it
Live with it
And enjoy life
Thankful for the knife
That saved you
Made you
Who you are now
Wow!
You're amazing!
Brilliant.
You sum it up perfectly. My kids have a friend who had a stoma very young . They would all be jumping off the harbour in long summer evenings and he was so relaxed and at ease with his stoma that the rest of the kids never bothered at all . His mum was telling me a few years ago he has never changed and sent me a clip of Him in his twenties at a pool competition. Having a ball and could not have given a stuff what anyone else thought .
More power to your elbow as my wee Irish dad would have said .
