Hi there. Has anybody had surgery on the bowel. Went through chemo and then had to have surgery in England to remove the stomach lining. I'm asking this because I've had the tumor removed, I'm starting chemo but mite also need the stomach lining removed if the chemo doesn't work. Thankyou for reading.
Hi Bobbie
Welcome to the forum .
There are a few people who have . There are a few centres of excellence that carry out the surgery . Mr Jamie Murphy’s name comes up a lot . You might also want to check out Bowelcancer U.K. as they might have some people they could link you in with .
I did follow a young man from America when my mum was first diagnosed. He is over thirteen years the other side of surgery and now a father .

On page 46 ( I think ) of the linked in brochure it goes into the details of peritoneal surgery . It also covers other treatment options like Hipec .
In lots of ways it is good that they are talking about surgical options as it lets you see that they think there are different options for the future even if you don’t actually need them in the end .
What chemotherapy are you having ?
