My husband has finished 5 weeks of chemo and radiotherapy. He had no side affects until the last few days of treatment (feeling tired/sore). He was told side affects might go on for 7-10 days after treatment has ended. The tiredness/soreness has been going on for 7 days past end of treatment. He says it feels uncomfortable/aching feeling and the only relief he gets is when he lies down on his front the aching feeling goes after an hour. He has been taking Ifobrien tablets (recommended by the hospital). Has anyone else had similar problems?
Hi @Honeysuckle. Everyone reacts differently to treatment and the radiotherapy goes on working for several weeks after the actual treatment finishes. The area being treated can get sore and aggravated which is presumably why he gets some relief from lying on his front. I think he’ll just have to keep taking the ibuprofen and remember that the discomfort will pass in time.
Take care

Update it has been 9 days since his chemo/radiotherapy finished and he has woken up this morning feeling much better and the soreness has gone away.
Great news . You will be delighted .
