Hi! My dad finished 8 cycles of Xelox at the end of July and is really sensitive to the cold! He tells me that his feet are constantly cold. If anyone has some tips that I could share with my dad to help him with this, it would be gratefully received! Furthermore, I noticed yesterday that his eyes appeared quite yellow in colour. Has anyone else experienced this? Could it be a side effect of xelox? How long after active treatment does chemo remain in the body generally? Many thanks for taking time to read my post! Love to all…x
Hi Hope2022
Chemo certainly can do a lot of things but I would be inclined to pass this through his team . Some people do have some reactions and I would want to check his blood panel to make sure all his liver enzymes are doing ok .
Our helpline nurses would be more than happy to chat it through with you on 0808 808 0000, or his GP or chemo team but definitely get them to make sure there is not something he could easily get help with .
Send your dad our love .
