Hi Everyone
I had surgery to remove my entire colon on 19/10/22. The surgeon managed to perform the operation by keyhole and was really pleased with my recovery, hence I was discharged for home this Saturday just passed. The small intestine was joined to the rectum which means I avoided having to have a stoma. My surgeon has prescribed medication to harden the stools but advised to leave off this until 3-4 weeks have passed giving time for the healing process of the join. I was wondering if anyone could offer any advice regarding diet please. My surgeon suggested I go for low fibre stuff but wondered if anyone could share any useful information that may be of benefit to me. TIA
