Hi everyone. Currently waiting for my surgery for bowel cancer which is now due on the 9th November (LAR) I’m 24 so this has come as a shock anyway. I’m undergoing fertility treatment with daily injections. Around a week ago I found a hard lump on my right boob towards the armpit. It feels firm round and moveable. I’d say maybe cherry size. I forgot about it hoping it would go but it is still there. I’m so worried that I could now have a different cancer. I’m booked in the dr’s this week to look at it, but I am making myself sick with worry. Would this have been picked up on the ct scan I had for my bowel in august? I feel like this is additional stress and anxiety I don’t need right now and I’m really struggling with it all
Hi Leighsp
So glad you are getting it checked out with the dr for your own peace of mind .
No point in saying not to worry as I have had breast cysts in my 20s, 40s and 50s . I panicked at them all but they all felt like solid pebbles slipped under my skin . To the medics they were classed as moveable. They could make them move from side to side . My last one in the summer was 3 cm .
Hormones impacted mine .
I get every single one checked then drained !
Not sure about the Ct aspect . I have seen it discussed here before and some say no as it depends on shape , size and what’s covered on the Ct scan !!
However that’s not always the case as my mum did get one picked up and her oncologist sent her to the breast clinic to get checked out . It too was just a cyst .
Hope you get it all resolved quickly and give you peace of mind .

Thanks court for your reassurance. I managed to get an emergency appointment today and I let my bowel team know this morning and asked if they could perhaps expedite a scan when I’m in for my pre op this Friday, but haven’t heard back yet. Hopefully the doctor this afternoon can offer me their input and I can get a scan for the peace of mind xx
Hey, she said she’s not concerned about the lump but she will still refer me to the breast clinic to get it checked. It’s very mobile and she mentioned cysts and fibroadenomas so fingers crossed it’s benign! My bowel team are also going to speed things up so hoping to get in asap. She also prescribed me some meds for anxiety so hopefully I can relax a bit xx
