Hello everyone!
I know that I have been very absent the past few months, I've been up to my eyeballs coping with life and the things it throws my way. It is now four years, almost to the day, since my first diagnosis. I was told that I would maybe last five years, and anything after that would depend on many factors. But here I am, four years on, and I am doing far better than anybody might have anticipated! I am due the next round of scans and tests, but at this time, I am officially cancer free. The battle has taken a toll on me, and I am always going to live with the after effects of surgery and chemo, but here I am.
So, for those who might only just be starting out on their own battle, I can give reassurance. It can be better. Life can go on. Keep fighting!!!
Love to all of you!
Robin
stoatlord. Hi Robin - how great to hear from you again and it’s lovely to hear that you’re doing so well. I know you’ve had a lot of set backs and been through the mill with it but you sound to be winning the battle now.
Can’t believe it’s been 4 years - keep it up!
Take care
