So feeling a bit annoyed at the moment...so my hubby Tony had a very successful liver resection at the Royal London in July and we had an appointment with his oncology team on 20th September 22..although the report was in his oncologist was able to access the report and confirm it was successful and that in his opinion no further treatment was necessary and discharged Tony back to the colorectal team..so fast forward today to the follow up app today with the Liver surgeon who confirmed clear margins but only 1cm and that he would recommend more chemo...when we told him what the oncologist said he basically responded that the oncogists know best and he would send him the report..Tony now doesn't know what to think...has anybody had similar experie

  • Hi

I remember having a conversation with the liver surgeon that surprised me but pleased keep in mind this was ten years ago and the medical world has changed but it might help you ask the liver surgeon a more pointed question .

My mum’s liver surgeon mentioned that liver margins are very different to colorectal margins. Colorectal margins require to be larger .

That always stuck in my mind . You might want to ask the liver surgeon if they were happy with the margin .

    Take care ,
